Candice, as the subway pulls into Spadina Station.
A photo from the trip to the International Discount Foods last weekend. A stark contrast to the weather today, snowy and windy with a couple of centimetres of snow on the ground. Apparently snow plows are something I once thought of in a dream, but do not actually exist.
The Gramercy Riffs from St. John’s returned to Toronto on a cold and stormy Thursday evening.
The opening act from the Brat Attack show the other night, Dan Trouble from Sin Jawns.
I went to see The Brat Attack last night at a tiny little club downtown. I first saw these guys in 2005 when they played in Corner Brook, and I’ve seen them a few times since then. Awesome fun punk rock.
A girl named Danielle Trouble opened for them with an acoustic set. Danielle is from St. John’s and, as always, it was great to talk to someone from Newfoundland.
From the Barenaked Ladies concert on Saturday.
The sun came out yesterday and it warmed up to a wopping 5 degrees. Candice and I went on a adventure to the International Discount Food (IDF for short b’ys) to attempt to find some delicious European chocolate, but only ended up with an unfulfilled sweet-tooth. Sad face.
A fan showing of their “spirit” at the free outdoor Barenaked Ladies concert yesterday at Nathan Phillips Square.
Playing cribbage on a Friday night while watching Olympics. Curling is awesome. We are hip and happenin’.
We are clearly too old for our own good.
Long exposure of the park down the street. The lamppost reminds me of Narnia. Two buses drove by in the background while I was taking this. I was annoyed by their intrusion at first, but afterward I realized that it created a cool effect.
