Working in Staples all day leaves you needing some air when the evening rolls around. Candice and I took some time last night to walk around campus and hang out on our stoop. I took this picture of our street Cook Road.
So this was originally going to be my picture of the day:
This was when Candice and I, in a tired and hungry state, found a Chinese restauraunt that offers “take out buffet”. Basically, you pay a certain amount for a certain container, and then fill up your container from the buffet, and leave. So we bought this for $11 and split it between us.
So after we ate we got groceries and then headed home. This is what we saw when we approached our house:
The door on the right is our door. And you know what was going on? Nelly Furtado was shooting a music video. On our front step.
I know, weird, right?
Anyway, they were just finishing up when we got there, so we waited across the street, but man was that a weird thing to come home to.

Can and I went to see the Idlers at The Rivoli last night. Their a fantastic reggae/ska band from St. John’s. It was a great time and it was nice to hear a couple accents from home.
I’ve been taking a couple walks around little pieces of York that I haven’t set foot on yet. Just a parking lot, but a different parking lot.
Yay summer!
The crazy thing is that it gets even warmer than it currently is.
This phone booth is missing a couple of pieces. The repair crew was nowhere to be seen.
Spying a beer can discarded among some large rocks near some water reminds me of Newfoundland.
We played Ticket to Ride last night. Fun times.
So there’s this big huge music festival currently happening in Toronto called North by Northeast (or NXNE for short). Part of this festival is a bunch of free concerts at Yonge and Dundas Square in downtown Toronto. I went to check out a concert featuring Nova Scotians Wintersleep last night.
It being a free show, a large part of the crowd (which was huge) wasn’t really into it that much. However, after making my way closer to the stage I found a group who clearly knew what they were doing. Some of them are pictured above.
